Video:
Fan-Spotting!
Just in time for Labor Day... Hi everyone, it's Alternatecoppa again. You may have seen that the final video
in our Comic Con coverage series had it's premiere on the Convention site of
Distant Horizon's Admin Amira at http://www.avataramira.com/master.html
Well now we're pleased to be able to bring it to you as well and complete the
circle. This installment brings some interviews with several fans we pulled
aside while walking the halls of the Convention, including Irrel
of deviantart, Avatar_Mom
of AvatarSpirit.net, and not to mention the new voice actor of Iroh himself,
Greg Baldwin!

Many thanks go out to Amira and AJ Shepard for assisting me in camera work
throughout the Con, all the great fans we meet there and of course a super
big, most excellently grateful thank you goes out to Greg
Baldwin for chatting with us and giving the fandom some awesome insight into
Acting, Iroh and Season 3!
Also, a big thanks goes to Booter-Freak
for the incredible Iroh fanart seen above and in the video: http://booter-freak.deviantart.com/art/Dragon-of-the-West-Print-59322475

Dylan here. This post will contain a lot of information on season three. Check below for the latest news:
Update: Animation Insider provides an in-depth review of "The Awakening". Note: This review contains major spoilers about the episode and future season three episodes. I would actually not recommend reading the review as it will not only spoil the episode for you, but also downgrade your hype for it too.
CableTVTalk provides confirmation that there will be a new episode of Avatar every Friday until November the 23rd. They also provide us with a brief preview of Season 3: After the fall of Ba Sing Se, our group decides that there’s one last hope to save the world and they must go to the Fire Nation and face the Firelord on his home turf. The clock works against the kids as they travel from one Fire Nation town to another, helping people, hiding out, and learning new things; all the while, planning a rag-tag invasion force to strike before the arrival of the comet on the day of black sun. Meanwhile, Aang is reluctant to master his final element: Firebending. Zuko, too, deals with his own issues as he returns home for first time in three years.
Tv Guide provides summaries for the first two episodes: The Awakening: Aang wakes up to find himself aboard a captured Fire Nation ship after sustaining serious injuries at the end of season two. Katara, Sokka, and their father are with him and they recount the events that led the four to the ship and how they plan to attack the Fire Nation. Aang struggles to fight his own instincts to face the Firelord before he is ready, but ultimately accepts that he needs time to heal and regain his strength. Meanwhile, Zuko is dealing with his own issues as he journeys home for first time in three years, fearing his father will reject him once again.
The Headband: The gang heads to a Fire Nation school to help them blend in. Elsewhere, Zuko confronts Uncle.
ASN has confirmed at Avatar will be airing at 8:30 PM EST for the US. The Countdown has been changed to reflect this. Also, YTV says 5 PM EST for Canada. More on when you will be getting Avatar where you live later. |
