Also FreakishChild, our Fanfiction Admin previously, is now a G-Mod, and Kittyangelgirl (aka Untiedshoes) is now a Mod! Congrats to everyone on their new positions!
Yes, I realize I said by the end of this week but obviously that just isn't going to happen. I've made good progress on the forums and feel we should get everything up and working by this Wednesday, May 23rd. In all likelihood I'll make the announcement in the afternoon because it's a "half" day at school. For those marking their calendars I'll be graduating on June 7th! My last day of classes is next Wednesday the 30th.
So look out for the brand new forums! You guys are going to have a lot of fun with it, I guarantee!
Dylan here and the regular season of the Character Tournament has ended. Elimination has struck and 38 characters have been eliminated, 2, 4, or 8 from each Conference. The Standings Page shows which characters have been eliminated as well as the final standings for the regular season. Next are the Conference Tournaments. Using several tiebreaker methods, I have determined the outlook for the Conference Tournaments. I also used those same tiebreaker methods for eliminating the characters at the bottom of each Conference. The schedule for each Conference Tournament can be found at its conference page. Though I have used several tiebreaker methods on the tournaments already, there are still several ties to be broken. You can vote on these ties during The Tiebreaker Period which will go until May 30th. Vote in the Tourny Page. All the Conferences have ties to be broken. You have so long to vote on these tiebreakers becuase they are so important. They will decide the seeding for several characters in the Conference Tournaments. There are many ties that include two undefeated characters. It is important to vote! Also, the results of last round, and the whole regular season can be seen at the bottom of the Schedule Page. The winners are italicized.
Dongbu Feng will be re-launching our forums soon, so we are in need of new Mods. We are effectively starting fresh with the forums and want Mods who can dedicate a significant amount of time to the forums and participate in discussions while making sure the rules are being followed.

Dylan here and the Season 2 Box set has been announced! It will be released on September 11th, perfecting timing as it will at least coincide somewhat with the release of season 3. Information is from TV Shows on DVD and the box art and part of the discs are shown below.
I was just thinking it would be a neat idea to see what ideas we could come up with for Comic-Con. So what do YOU think the Avatar panel at Comic-Con should have (besides a season 3 trailer/clip, which is already a given that we want). Simply click the title of this article and go down to the comments section and post your responses. They won't published immediately (we screen them) but I'll guarantee they will be posted if you have a legitimate idea and could fit into a panel (they usually last around an hour or so). Well I believe we have finally resolved this whole "was it Sifu Kisu posting on DH or not" fiasco. I just received this email from Kisu himself [and I doubt this one is an impostor because it clears Kisu]:

THQ has announced a second video game to be released based on 'Avatar.' This one will be based on the second season. I say that because the first game (at least the PC version) had the same places and some of the same characters from Book 1, but the dialouge and situations were much different from in the show. The official press release is here.
The second game, titled 'The Burning Earth' will be the first Nickelodeon title on X-Box 360. Also apparently the plan was to release a new video game based on each season, which is why Haru was in the first video game and Toph was not. Surely she'll be in this one, as well as Azula, Ty Lee and Mai!
A while back this was hinted at by a user posting as "kisu" on the Distant Horizon forums. We suspected it was Sifu Kisu, martial arts consultant for the show, but did not have any real info to back that up because he had even stated a date was decided, which one has not yet been set. Anyway, this gives us somewhat of a confirmation that kisu was the real deal, though it could have been someone with inside knowledge of the game.
