According to a Nickelodeon employee who works on the show, Avatar season 1 will be coming to DVD in January 2006. And TVshowsonDVD.com has confirmed this. Also, there will be a box-set released later on with bonus features, but no announcement will be made to the fans of this happening. So the same product will go on sale twice, except the latter one will have bonus features. Unless you are really desperate to own the Avatar DVD, hold on until the box set with bonus features comes out. And when a date is announced for the release of this product, DF readers will be the first to know! If you're wondering where we got this info, it came from a TV.com thread. All of us admins (pooldude256, Starlilica, FlyingMomo, ISpeakTheTruth, pianist0521992, and -Ngo-rongo-ro) are all registered on tv.com under those use ames. If you want to make us friends or PM us there, that's fine, just be nice :-) . But realize we will be more active here in the future. (click link for Box art) |

Recently, LEGO has acquired rights to all Nickelodeon properties, including Nick, Nick Jr., and Nickelodeon Movies. And by August 2006, LEGO is releasing several sets to stores everywhere.
So why am I telling you this, you ask? Well, to start off, LEGO is releasing two sets of Avatar: The Last Airbender and three sets of Spongebob Squarepants. In addition, in April, LEGO will introduce Batman LEGOs, releasing six sets of the brand. The sets for Batman will all be based off of the following members of the Batman family: Batman Begins, the theatrical movie, The Batman animated TV series, and the Batman comic book.
Anywho, here's more information on the Avatar line. But so I don't get sued, please click once on the links below, to give credit to the original storybreakers. Thank you. :-)
"LEGO’s Avatar line will offer two hero models with collectible mini-figures and role-play action to recreate popular environs of the animated series. Both lines will be available in August 2006."
The two Avatar series' will include mini-figures. Seriously, this is something I will buy. Personally, I love LEGOs and the opportunity to own Aang, Zuko (and burn his figure, of course ... two minutes later, "I'm sorry, I was just kidding! No, fangirls, not the hair!), and all the rest of the gang.
It looks like Nick is going all out here for Avatar, and I highly doubt the cancellation of this series anytime soon.

A resistance movement of Pirates formed, but disbanded after their leader Marcus Farrell disappears.
