Dylan here. Variety has published an article profiling Noah Ringer who will be playing Aang in the upcoming "The Last Airbender." Among new information is a new picture of Noah Ringer.  The article says Ringer "impressed Shyamalan with his sincere gentleness -- a characteristic the director felt was essential to play a monk who brings balance to a warring world." Probably the most interesting thing to come from the article is the following quote by Ringer: "'Night wanted me to be natural,' says Ringer whose first stab at acting came when prepping for the audition. 'He didn't want me to be Aang; rather, he wanted Aang to be me.'" Not sure how most fans will take that quote, but it's probably the best approach from a movie-making perspective.
