The following day after watching a furious fight between Katara and Master Pakku she listened to the words they exchanged after the fight. Katara telling Pakku that her grand mother left because she didn’t love the man she was assigned to marry. Yue seemed to be affected by this as she left with tears in her eyes, Sokka quickly followed. Sokka caught up with her and told her that he wasn’t surprised that she didn’t feel the same way he did about her. She interrupted him with a kiss, after kissing him and making Sokka even more confused than he normally is she revealed to him that she does care about him but that she can’t be with him. She reveals that she is engaged. (Real Soap Opera isn’t it?)

The next day Sokka took Yue on a flying trip on Appa; there they saw sut coming down from the sky. Sokka knows that it could only be one thing; the Fire Nation is coming to attack the tribe. After the conceal meets they allow those that want to fight to volunteer. Yue realizes that Sokka has volunteered to join the fight. When the battle begins Yue is safe within the walls of the tribe when the first volley of attacks from Zhao’s ships hit. But the Fire Nation stops its attack to wait for morning to come. That night Aang, Katara, and Yue try to find a way to stop what is happening they decide to help Aang find a way to the spirit world to contact the Ocean and Moon spirits for help. Yue leads Aang and Katara to an oasis near their tribe and after a few moments Aang enters the spirit world. When Zuko appears to clam Aang, Yue flees to get Sokka. When they arrive they discover that Aang is gone along with Zuko.

They set off to find Zuko and Aang and do after a few worrisome moments. After reclaiming Aang and bringing an unexpected guest along for the ride (Zuko) they head back. Suddenly the Moon turns red; Yue and Aang both seem to be affected by this and they know that something has happened to the moon spirit. Yue tells them about when she was born and the Moon Spirit saved her life when she was a child. At the oasis they find that Zhao has the Spirit. Aang tries to talk him into putting back saying it will hurt everyone if the balance isn’t restored. Iroh then appears and demands he puts it back. After a moment Zhao puts the fish back into the pond but then ly wounds the fish with a blast of fire. Zhao runs away after this, Yue and the others run to the pond and see the fish was killed in the attack. After Aang fusses with the Ocean spirit Yue and the others are left with the now Moon Spirit.

Iroh soon says that Yue has been touched by the Moon Spirit. She says he is right and she decides that since the Spirit gave her life she could give it back. She touches the Fish/Moon Spirit and quickly collapses and passes away. Her sacrifice worked however as the Moon Spirit was brought back to life. Yue’s appeared to Sokka and the others and she told Sokka that she would always be with him. After sharing one final kiss she fades away.
