Chong’s wife, Lily, may sound sweet, but when it comes to common sense she’s as clueless as her brainless husband. She too is as relaxed as can be, but maybe just a little too relaxed, if there is such a thing.
Her most famous line was when they were in the cave and Sokka asked Chong how long the candles last, and he responded 2 hours each. She then lit all five candles at the same time at the same time and said they had ten hours. Sokka calmly responded, “It doesn’t work that way.” And then Lily said “Oh.” See what I told you, she’s a real genius. Lily feels that a destination in life is just an extra hassle. She and Chong use the phrase “destination fever” to describe those who are “too concerned with the where.” Lily and Chong travel the world with three others, two men (one of which is Moku) and one woman.
