Now you may all know this by now, or it may be news to you. On July 14, in the US, Nickelodeon will be broadcasting episodes 210 and 211, "The Library" and "The Desert" respectively, together and calling it a TV movie titled "The Fury of the Avatar." We on DF will refer to it as two different episodes, since that's what the original intention of the writers and producers. Now there has been plenty of speculation as to whether this is actual TV movie or if it's just two episodes put together. I answered that above. It is just two different episodes to be aired on the same night, just like "Avatar Day" and "The Blind Bandit" on April 28th. Oh wait, Nick cancelled that :-) . According to one of my sources, the episodes aren't even a two-parter. Remember how in season 1 we had "The Spirit World (Winter Solstice, Part 1)" and "Avatar Roku (Winter Solstice, Part 2)"? Well, they were aired as different episodes on different days, and fit together very well, while these two, which were written to be aired on different nights, are a "TV movie." Somehow that doesn't seem right to me. Anyway, don't get me wrong. My source says the episodes ultimately fit together, but when the episode airs, you'll see they were both individually written episodes. Personally, I hope that Nick airs some sort of recap episode in the "Avatar: The Legend So Far" realm before July 14th. Because, when you think about it, some, however few, of the kids who are part of Nick's core summer movie target, have never watched Avatar, or don't keep up with it. It would be nice for a small recap of the season so far before this "movie" airs.
