Fanlistings: None You may remember him from Iroh’s flashback in “The Storm.” This man was previously just known to Avatar fans as “the General." However, Nick.com revealed “The General's” real name is Bujing. Probably the single coolest name so far in Avatar. Anyway, General Bujing wanted to sacrifice a whole new brigade of Fire Army recruits to the experienced Earth Kingdom Army. His thinking was they could bring more experienced soldiers and, with the distraction of the younger soldiers in place, they would stand a good chance at defeating them. When Zuko spoke out against Bujing’s plan, it is expected he was furious, although we never really saw him after that. Zuko thought speaking out against “the General’s” plan meant he would be his opponent in the Agni Kai, a special event that takes place when one is either disrespected or challenged. Apparently, Fire Lord Ozai agreed with his plan, as he took Zuko’s outburst against the plan as an act of disrespect towards himself. Not much else is known about General Bujing, other than the fact that he seems to be an exact clone of Admiral Zhao, except without the monkey-look to him. |
