My BRILLIANT Avatar theory
I personally think that Toph and Zuko should be together. I think when Zuko joins the gAang (another theory of mine) he and Toph are going to be really close and really connect with each other. I think that at first they will just be real close friends but later it will turn into something more.
Why I think they would be perfect with each other:
- They are both exactly the same and you have to at least admit to that.
- the way they think
- the way they understand the world
- how they handle their problems
The list goes on. But this is all important because they can understand each other and they can also connect.
- They are still a lot different.
- Toph is barley ever serious, she has fun with life
- Zuko is always so serious
I think this is good because, one being too much alike in a relationship can not end up well and it gets boring. Second, they can learn from each other, Zuko could learn how to lighten up and have fun with life, while Toph can learn how to be serious about things she needs to be. They balance each other.
I know there aren’t any hints of this couple because I don’t count Iroh telling Toph that she’s like his nephew (Zuko). Even though that was the thing that got me thinking of this couple, it helped me see how similar they are.
For those people who think that there is such a huge age difference, there isn’t. It’s only 5yrs (I’m one of the people who think that Zuko is 17 in season 2). Think about when Toph is 16, Zuko will be 21, and that doesn’t seem that far apart when you think of it that way. And also people who think Toph/Sokka is fine but Toph/Zuko is gross because of the age, well Toph and Sokka are 4yrs apart so how is that any different from 5yrs.
And this is the ending of my BRILLIANT theory.
