Jake here.  While randomly browsing through the Annie Awards website, I found some key information for fans.  Specifically that the date the Annie Awards Committee rolls out its nominations for next February's ceremony is December 3rd.

Avatar has received five nominations and three wins at the Annies in the past two years, including a sweep of two awards at this past year's event.  Avatar is likely to be nominated again this year, with season 3 bringing out the best of the Avatar staff.  We'll bring you the nominations Avatar receives (and hopefully they will receive a few) here on Dongbu Feng on that date.

Note that only the first 11 episodes of the season could be nominated for an award, as they will be the only ones to air in the United States by December 31st, 2007.  Episodes 312-320 will be eligible for awards at the February 2009 event, since they will have aired between January 1st and December 31st of 2008.

So make sure to either check back here or on the Annie Awards site on December 3rd to see if Avatar was nominated (I'd be surprised if they weren't) and how many/what episodes are nominated (I'm betting on The Beach for Best Writing, I just feel it!).
