Last night in our 313 title reveal we also revealed a new event: Avatar Fandom Olympics.  Jake here and I am planning this event for the entire fandom.  I have a good number of sites already in the event, and am still accepting sites.  So if you have a site you would like to enter into the Olympics, email me at webmaster(at)avatarolympics.net.  However, you must meet a minimum requirement of having 15 people (max of 25) who are willing to compete for your site.

The Olympics will begin on January 14th and conclude on February 15th.  This timing does not take into account the return of the show in the US.  It may return sooner than February 15th, or later, we do not know at this time.

People who are not accepted on to fansite teams may compete in fandom teams.  Fandom teams can be composed of 10-15 fans who are committed to participating.  Fandom teams will participate in similar events as the sites, but will not compete against the sites, only against other fandom teams.

Each person can only join one team.  If you are on a fansite team, you can't be on a fandom team, and vice versa.

Throughout the weeks there will be various activities for the teams to participate in.  Art, writing, video and scavenger hunt activities will occupy most of the time.  There will also be occassional live events, such as trivia, being held during the month-long event; however not all members of a team will be required to be there due to time zone differences, etc.

To submit your site or a fandom team, please send a list of the members who are participating on your team, as long as they meet the minimum and maximum requirements, to webmaster(at)dongbufeng.net.  Also send any questions to that address as well.
