Jake here, and right off the bat I am going to tell you, as you imagine, running a web site is not cheap.  I've paid in excess of $100 out of my own pocket to run this site over the years.  From the domain, to the hosting, to the C-Box and chat, and so on.  So I would like to come to you, my loyal site visitors, to put together some of the money I have spent in the past.

I've received a few donations but not nearly enough to cover all the costs of running the site.  Also the ads have not paid up yet, nor has the Amazon affiliation.  Those are ways you could help (clicking on ads and buying stuff from Amazon through the search box) but I digress.

So I am going to make a plea to you all here to help me get some of the money back I have spent running this site you all so enjoy (or so I've heard!).   Donate as little as $5 or however much you think would be a good contribution.  Any little bit helps.  If this site is going to continue past Avatar, I am going to need to get a little bit of the money back.

As a treat, for everyone who donates at least $5 over the next month I will enter your name in a drawing for an Amazon.com gift card.  The amount will depend ultimately on how much is raised through this, but should be at least $30.  The gift card can go to anything on Amazon.com, including an Avatar DVD or book.

I have now raised enough to ensure there will be a drawing.  I will post the contributions raised through this on a page on the site, available to all.
