Jake here. For those of you Avatards who enjoy the Nick.com Avatar games, Nickelodeon's website will release a new online game this year featuring Avatar. Here is the description from the Viacom press release : Nick.com, TurboNick, Nicktropolis and NickJr.com: Nick.com, Nickjr.com, TurboNick and Nicktropolis will launch more than 185 games in 2008, with a focus on multiplayer, cooperative games such as 3D Nicktoons, SlimeBall on Nicktropolis. Other titles include an Avatar multiplayer global game in the fall, where players assume a character's personality, such as Aang or Zuko, and battle each other in real time in various challenges to unlock new Avatar content. Very interesting that this game will launch in the fall. This probably doesnt mean anything about the show or the finale, but nonetheless it looks like Nick is trying to keep Avatar alive past the end of its television-run. No word if this will be a free game or one of those rip-off games you have to buy. Either way, we now have some evidence of post-TV, pre-movie life for Avatar. The question still remains how much of the fandom will be left by next fall?
