Dylan here reporting that in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, Kate Ward reviewed "Sozin's Comet" giving it the grade of a B with a generally positive review. Jake here, and I wanted to make this point again - the finale was written for 90 minutes, not 2 hours.  The creators did decide to make the animation double for episode 320, giving us 321.  So that could go to explain the critic's point of the plot not being "heavy enough" for 2 hours.  This could have been a Nick decision or a decision by the creators, we just don't know, but the good thing is the animation will be amazing.
