Dylan along with Jake, Alisa, Josh, and Michelle first discuss the recent early release of the Sozin's Comet book in the news segment and then go way in-depth into "The Western Air Temple."...see more
*Cue fancy theme music* It is now the day where we will play the fourth round of the ever-popular "Guess that Episode Title" game, the fun little game where Avatar fans actually have the chance to guess the titles of upcoming episodes which have been leaked to me!
Since "The" is the most common word in Avatar titles, I'll just give you that one. Ok this is the title for episode 2 of season 3 (302). The first word is "The" and the second is 8 letters and, at least today, is an item someone wears on their body. Here it is when you put it all together:
Book 3: Fire, Chapter Two: The _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Alright, you know the drill ------------------------------------------------------------------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
*I am not sure when I will be online again later, so guess as much as you want and I'll make sure to reveal it (if someone has guessed it) or give another clue then. Sorry!
Have you ever wanted to become a part of the staff here at Dongbu Feng? Ever wanted to write up pieces of information relating to Avatar and have it posted for all to see, with your name listed as the contributor? Well, DF is now looking for dedicated staff members and site contributors to carry it through the stretch run. We're planning on adding a lot of content in the coming months, and we need your help! Below are the positions that are in need
- Site Admin (1 person desired; will work with fellow admins to set and enforce rules in forums, contribute to the site and develop new ideas) - Contests Admin (1 person desired; will develop and monitor new contest ideas for the site/forum) - Chat Admin (1 desired; will help organize chats in the chat room, etc.) - Forums Mods (2 desired; will monitor 4 forums of their choice to begin with, will expand from there) - Site Contributor (unlimited desired; will help to produce original content for the site, including bios, recaps, geographic information, etc.)
These positions have already been posted on the DH Forums and we have received a few applicants. We are asking our fan base, though, to help us with this as well. Please fill out the following application and
to us or PM it to myself (pooldude256) in the DF Forums. Please clearly state the position(s) you are seeking.
Name: Email: Position Desired: Experience: [For non-writing position, where have you been a staff member/mod before; for writers what writing experience do you have, fanfics, etc.] Why You Deserve the Position: What You Can Bring to DF:
Well, do you? If you're like most, then the answer is clearly, without a doubt, YES! Well, the only way that will happen is if we fans step it up and contact Nick and flood them will letters, emails and phone calls asking for a soundtrack!
So we have created the "Speak Up!" page here to help make you fans aware of ways to contact Nickelodeon for basically anything Avatar-related, or just something to do with the company as a whole, you can now do so and have all the options available on one page. It's also linked on the left-hand side of your screen (under "Avatar Merchandise"). Please consider signing this online petition. Yeah, online petitions don't work many times, but we're giving it a shot. If many of us sign it, I'm talking thousands here, maybe we can get what we want!
Best way is to mail them a letter, email them, or call them. All the info you need is right on that page. Let's work together and get that soundtrack!
Oh and if you didn't see the announcement in the C-Box, a new round of "Guess that Episode Title" will begin next Wednesday, January 31st! Be here in the afternoon that day for the first clues and guess it out in the C-Box!
Last round Princess Yue was crowned "Favorite Guest Characters (Two or More Episodes" and her old home the Northern Water Tribe was crowned "Favorite City" by you the Avatar fans!
The next round of voting has begun. This week, "Favorite Action/Adventure Episode" and "Favorite Element" are up for voting!
Though still in the early stages, Dongbu Feng is proud to reveal our Avatar merchandise store. We'll now offer a place on this site where you can find anything Avatar-related which has been released or will be in the near future. Browse through the items and purchase them through the links we have provided! We've partnered with Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com to give you the lowest prices available of the items!
Currently we only have DVDs, the Mattel action figures and the episodes (a place where you can buy individual episodes) in our listing. Games, including the video game and trading card game, clothing, and more are on their way soon! If you find a product you feel we should list here, please email
with a link to the item!
Featured items this week are the three which were just released: Book 2, Volume 1 DVD, The Lost Scrolls: Earth and The Lost Scrolls: Air. The Book 2, Volume 1 DVD has Audio Commentaries of the first 5 episodes (or at least some of them) and is only $9.99 through our Amazon.com link! This is one way you can indirectly support the site. You are paying Amazon.com, but they are in turn giving the site a share and as I mentioned before, all money goes back into the site to create more fun stuff to offer the fans!
EDIT: We also would like to say congratulations and good luck to DeviantArt user Rufftoon. She announced yesterday that she had accepted a position as a storyboard artist at Avatar! This is amazing news! Wish her the best of luck. Also, there is another storyboard artist position available on Avatar. Click here for more!
Lots of business to attend to here today. First off, I'll formally announce the title I hinted at before. It is "The Painted Lady" and it is episode 303. C-Box user Angel guessed it correctly first!
Secondly, the DF Fan Awards have moved to the second round. The new categories are "Favorite Guest Star (2 or more episodes)" and "Favorite City". Please vote ASAP! I'll conclude voting early next week sometime. This past round saw you the fans crowning "The Cave of Two Lovers" as the top comedic episode, and Mike DiMartino the top director for his work on the season 2 finale. Thanks to all who voted, and please continue this week!
Tonight we have a nice little treat for you. Two new fan-created columns are up. Jaguarundi explores what's ahead for us in season 3 and karatewolfpunk thinks Zutara should be in the show, but you should check out her reasons because they're different and interesting! You should feel free to comment on each article with our new feature, and also there are two existing articles if you didn't know. You should check them out too if you haven't yet! Just follow the link above or see the link under the header!
Lastly, our friends at Wikipedia have a special announcement. The hard work of editors such as The Placebo Effect and Dylan0513 has made the Avatar article one of the site's best. So it will be in Wikipedia's "Featured Article of the Day". Problem is, they have to give the Wikipedia site editors a date to put the article up as the featured article, as there can be only one per day. They are mulling over two options at present: the date of the season 3 premiere (which is currently unknown) or the 2-year anniversary of Avatar's premiere (which will be much closer, on Feb. 21st). There is a convo going on over in the C-Box about this. They are asking for the help of the DF community, though. Please cast your vote (it's the second poll down under the "Avatar Poll of the Week" header on the right). You only have one vote, so cast it wisely! If you have a different date in mind, please let us know in the C-Box so we can take it into consideration. Thanks!
