Dylan here and as TV Tango reports, Viacom has trademarked "Avatar: Legend of Korra". You can view the trademark on the US patent website (search Avatar or Korra). Is this the name of the still unconfirmed new series? The trademark would point to them at least considering it as the name. |

Dylan here and a the final trailer is out for The Last Airbender. You can see it on Apple's page, it's "Trailer 3." This trailer is by far the most epic one and features many new scenes including new bending from Aang, new shots of Yue, a new shot of Appa, and a random dragon which I think is just being randomly added in. |

Dylan here and WSJ reports that The Last Airbender will be converted to 3D by company Stereo D LLC. Important to note is that it is being converted to 3D; it was not shot in 3D. So the movie will not be a must see in 3D by any means and it's also possible that the 3D could end up hurting the movie for that version. But if done correctly it could add a nice element to it. |

Dylan here with some new stuff that just makes this confusing situation
even more confusing. One is an update by Cartoon Snap in their post:
"Update: Nickelodeon is now claiming they made a "mistake" regarding the name of their new "Avatar" project. It's not called "Avatar The Last Airbender"...it's uh, something ELSE. Yeah, that's it! Oops! Apparently somebody spilt the beans."
Where they get this information from Nick I don't know. All I know is that when I visited the MTV page to look at the job listings yesterday, it said it was for "Untitled Avatar Project" not "Untitled Avatar the Last Airbender Project" like Cartoon Snap was claiming.
The next thing was brought to my attention by Confoot in the c-box. He noticed that there are now more job listings (edit, those listings have actually been up for a while) up for the "Untitled Avatar Project". Two other ones: Production Coordinator and Script Coordinator refer to "Untitled Avatar Miniseries." Just to refresh everyone, last month there was a line in a Daily News Article claiming Nick had Mike and Bryan producing a new SERIES. Your guess is as good as mine as to what this all means. I hope we get some clarity soon. |
