Countdown to "The Last Airbender" Premiere!

Dongbu Feng has several exclusive features on our site, here are a few of the newest:

  • Dongbu Feng Widget - A widget for Mac computers that gives you the latest DF site news, forum posts, blogs, and podcasts!
  • Uncle Iroh Soundboard - Relive the greatest quotes from the world's favorite Uncle with over 80 of Iroh's most memorable quotes!

C-Box Page/Rules

In case you haven't noticed, yes this is a different C-Box. The other C-Box was a premium one (which means you have to pay) and I figured it doesn't make any sense to keep paying for something we could be getting for free. So yeah it is a downgrade but we can live with it I think! There was no way I could downgrade the other C-Box so we get a whole new one, isn't that special? Anyway, enjoy!

Season 1 Box Set Coming in September
Jun 06, 2006 at 05:06 PM
Well I could say "Told ya so."  Check here.  Yes there is a complete box set of Avatar, Book One: Water coming out this September, on the same day as Volume 5 of the single DVDs actually.

My advice: If you already bought the first three DVDs, just keep buying the single volumes and forget the box set.  But if you haven't been buying the single volume DVDs, check the box set out.  It's supposed to have some pretty cool bonus features, and I'll definitely buy it this fall.

If you like to see box art, check out TVShowsonDVD.com.

The Avatar Nation has spoken, and the Air Nation was chosen as the favorite nation of more Avatar fans during Nick's All-Nations week!  Congrats go out to Aang, Monk Gyatso, the rest of the Southern Air Temple monks and all the other members (or former members) of the Air Nation!
Congratulations!
At the 33rd Annual Annie Awards, Lauren MacMullan took home the gold for "Storyboarding in an Animated Television Program" for her storyboard for the episode The Deserter.  Congratulations to Lauren and her storyboarding pals!  Runners up: Two Storyboard Artists for Kim Possible, one from Danny Phantom and another from Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch Friends.

Also nominated were Aaron Ehasz and John O'Bryan for their writing of episode 14, The Fortuneteller and the series was nominated in the category Best Animated Television Production, but lost out to CN's Star Wars: Clone Wars II Chapters 21-25.  Congrats to the guys on their nominations, and also to all the other winners and nominees involved in this event.

Tokyopop and Nick to release Avatar cine-manga
That's right.  The Avatar cine-manga will be available in both the US and UK on February 28th, 2006.  If you don't believe me, check this out.
Avatar: The ... Rollercoaster?
Yep you heard it right.  The Avatar phenomenon is growing.  According to Nickdisk, Paramount will unveil several new rides at Kings Island in Ohio.  Among those rides, is this one:

"Thrill-seeking families take a whirlwind ride with Avatar on this first-of-its kind family roller coaster"

Wow, the Avatar brand is getting a lot of attention: DVDs, T-shirts, Video game, trading card game, Lego brand, and now a roller coaster.  Check out that Nickdisk link for more on the other new additions, and I will continue to report any information I hear about Avatar!  Peace.
