Dylan here and Cartoon Snap has the scoop on new job openings posted by "MTV Networks Careers" for "Untitled Avatar Project." Open jobs include Storyboard Artists, Storyboard Revisionists, Storyboard Supervisors, Prop Designer, and Character Designer. As they are still hiring the new show seems far off, but this does seem to confirm that there will be another Avatar series... |

2) Not a big deal- 26%
3) Yes - 6%

I think this is a good indicator of the fandom's overall attitude towards the decision, maybe even a little lenient considering most people who visit DF are generally supportive of the movie. |

Dylan here and in a great post on UGO, Producer Frank Marshall defends the casting in the movie. He first tells of how the casting notice that said “Caucasians and Other Ethnicities" was done by a 3rd party and has been reprimanded. He also provides the original casting documents which make no mention of race. (Fortuneteller is also listed in the documents which tells us that 114 will probably be in the movie.) |

Dylan here and April Fool's! As pretty much everyone but two of you figured out, my post yesterday on Shyamalan getting kicked out was a prank. The brilliant photoshop was all me. Jake gets credit for the idea. I'd also like to thank Knight_Gambit for believing it and posting it everywhere XD. Traffic was way up on DF yesterday; at one point we had over 300 visitors. That wouldn't be much during the fandom's heyday, but for now it's a ton.
The podcast was also an april fool's joke. Thanks to Sam (koolmcr) for providing her amazing Cookie!Iroh voice. I'll take credit for the crappy writing XD. The real 56th podcast will come out sometime around Monday or Tuesday.
And in completely unrelated news, there will be no trivia this week again. I'm pretty sure weekly trivia will resume on April 9th. |
